Ann Ruckert Celebrity Choir
A melding of seasoned pros and selected class members, the Ann Ruckert Celebrity Choir is the only interfaith, intercultural cross-generational choir in the country. The choir has performed with Roberta Flack, Ben Vereen, Peter Yarrow, Leslie Gore, Harry Belafonte, and Diane Schuur in venues including Lincoln Center, Shea Stadium, Carnegie Hall, the Hudson Theatre, the Beacon Theatre, and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Museum in Cleveland. Soloists with the Choir have included Rita Marley, Sarah Dash and many other celebrities.
New members are generally chosen from the Saturday Class based on their ability to perform and read/write music. It is a fantastic resume-building opportunity for the students, who have the opportunity to perform along with the greats.
