ProShop:

Wednesday evenings 6-8 pm
Songwriters Guild of America
Actor’s Equity Building in Times Square
165 W. 46th, Room 408

"Make yourself user-friendly and you will never be out of work."
The Brill Building, home of legendary songwriters like Carole King, Leiber and Stoller during the 1960s, created a unique atmosphere for collaborations and networking with key industry professionals.

Ann Ruckert recreates that blend of comraderie and opportunity at the Songwriters Guild ProShop just one block away from the original Brill Building. At every session, twenty of America's most talented up-and-coming songwriters play one track each for Ann's distinguished industry friends and associates. The result: over 60 participants have signed recording and/or publishing deals within the last three years.

ProShop guests have included Russ Titelman (A&R Director/Producer), Wallace Collins Esq., Jimmy 'The Wiz' Wizner (A&R Columbia Records/Producer), Charlie Dahan (A&R Shanachie Records), Ray McKenzie (Owner Zero Hour Records), Eugene McDaniels, Teo Macero, Phyllis Hyman, Suzanne Koga of Roberta Flack's office, Peter Lubin (A&R at RCA Records), Michael Caplan (Epic Records), Julie Gold, David Buskin, and the late Dan Hartman.
